Check out our group of friendly and fun-loving
guides. Each one holds a number of professional
certifications essential for safe and responsible
sea kayaking, not to mention lots of time on the
water in various weather conditions. As you can
see from their bios they also have very interesting
backgrounds, or in some cases, obsessions.

Kris
Wilhelmsen
Kris is a Level III guide and
holds a certificate in Coastal
Adventure Tourism. He also
holds a degree in archaeology
and has taught archaeological
field schools on San Juan Island,
WA. While living in Australia
at the age of nine he built
his first boat from corrugated
tin and scrap wood. Since then
Kris has guided in the Gulf
Islands, Barkley Sound and Clayoquot
Sound. He loves loop trails
and tie-dyed tee shirts and
although he isn't sure what
he'll do when he grows up he's
fairly certain it will involve
boats. |

Courtney
Campbell
Courtney is a Level II guide
with the SKGABC and holds a
certificate in Coastal
Adventure Tourism and a
degree in Geography. She is
currently a Masters student
in Community and Regional Planning
(UBC) and really misses the
wilderness when in the big city.
On kayak trips she enjoys telling

might find Courtney traveling
throughout Central America speaking
Spanish, SCUBA diving, climbing
volcanoes, and supporting grassroots
